Master schedule

Our high school is looking to hire an outside consultant to assist us with a likely total revamping of the master schedule. We struggle each year with timely completion of the schedule, scheduling study halls, common planning time for teacher teams, etc. Does anyone have any ideas of interview questions you would ask a potential master scheduler? The interviews are this Tuesday morning so please post quickly!! Thanks.

Sorry that I didn't see this in time, Felice. How did the interview go?

As a "master scheduler" myself, I'd want to know:
1. How priorities are determined
2. How responsive the scheduler will be to your needs
3. What types of master schedules as he/she created in the past - will end up having to adjust to his/her knowledge or will he/she be able to maximize your resources
4. What's the long-term plan - can the scheduler train you/your school to take over in the future
