Freshman Service Project - One Life to Make a Difference

For the fourth year in a row, Salem High School (Salem, VA) students have used the day before Thanksgiving as a way to give back. By getting people to sponsor their One Life to Make a Difference Walk, they are able to raise thousands of dollars for the world's neediest children. By partnering with several other schools, they have been able to greatly increase their impact. Contact Josh Ratliff if you are interested in having your school's freshmen partner with Huntington High and Salem High next year. This year, with matching grants included, the 2 schools raised nearly $100,000!!!

Learning to Serve - Walk for Africa

Freshmen at Salem High School combined with students at Huntington High School and raised approximately $10,000 for children in Africa. Ray Moore and other Freshman Team Teachers from SHS and HHS organized the walk for the schools' freshmen.
