Sanetta - I'll be making my travel arrangements soon. I figured I'd touch base again to see if you had any more thoughts on the subject of me visiting your school in August.

Sounds great. I've been holding off buying my plane ticket to Little Rock in case anything came up for earlier that week. I'd be able to give you a lower rate than normal because my plane ticket is already being paid for by the conference organizers.

Sanetta - thanks for joining the Freshman Transition Network and for contacting me.

I don't have dates set yet for this fall. My partner, Ray Moore, is battling cancer which has put a few things on hold. However, there's a pretty good chance that I'll do something in Nashville at some point. It might be a structured a little differently since it will probably be just me.

I also regularly travel to schools to conduct onsite workshops. Those are able to be tailored very specifically to a school's needs. I probably visit a school a month. Maybe it would work best for me to come to you. It might save you some money as well.

I'm scheduled to be in Monticello, AR on August 4 and Little Rock, AR on August 5. Those conferences will be of a different nature. However, maybe if your school was interested I could visit you all earlier that week?

Let me know if you'd be interested in discussing anything like that.

Thanks for joining the Freshman Transition Network. The network is, and always will be, a "work in progress". Your input and ideas will play a big role in making this a useful and interactive site. Please let me know if you have ideas.

Be sure to read the "Read 1st" tab. I think that will give you a good idea of how to maximize this network.

Also, please go to the forum page and click on the Introductions forum. Take a moment to introduce yourself to the rest of the users

Check out the "Your School" tab. This gives people a chance to leave information about and a link to their school's Freshman Transition Program. This can help schools connect with one another.

Consider "friending" the other members of the community. That will make sure that the community truly is a community. You do this by going to someone's page and clicking Add as Friend, which is beneath their profile picture. By friending others you will then be able to send out messages, ask questions, and share thoughts more easily with those individuals.

Most importantly, though, your input, ideas, blogs, comments, and questions will benefit all the other members. Feel free to become a regular blogger or poster. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks again for joining!
